Meet Sherry

Sherry Perdue is a retired Civics Teacher, Small Business Owner, Wife, Mother and Committed Community Volunteer. She lives in Alamosa County with her husband, Edward (Eddie) Perdue.

Public service, education and the Preservation of Democracy are at the heart of who Sherry is. As a high school and community college teacher, she was devoted to her students and worked tirelessly to bring an understanding of our history, our government and our Constitution.

As a Small Business owner, she has first hand knowledge of the many issues that our local businesses face and how good policy at the local level can help them sustain their businesses - often on a razor thin profit margin.

Sherry’s strong commitment to Alamosa is highlighted by her community service work. She is a member of the Woman’s Citizenship Club, RSVP Volunteers and has served as History Day Judge at Adams State and National Civics Bee Judge.

Sherry and her husband have been residents of Alamosa County for twelve years - part-timers at first. They fell in love with the people and the majesty of the San Luis Valley. They are both grateful for the welcoming spirit and kindness they have experienced here over the years. They both look for ways to give back to their beloved community.
